قدمت فرنسا الخميس 10 مركبات عسكرية من نوع (ALTV) قابلة للاستخدام في مختلف التضاريس للجيش الموريتاني، وذلك في إطار إعداد المكون الموريتاني ضمن القوة المشتركة لمجموعة دول الساحل.

صادقت الحكومة الموريتانية خلال اجتماعها اليوم الخميس 25 يناير 2018 على إعادة تقطيع ولايتي كيدماغا، وإنشيري، حيث أنشأت مقاطعة جديدة في كل منهما، ومركزين إداريين جديدين في غيدماغا، ومركزا إداريا في إنشيري.
