أعلن اليوم الأحد في العاصمة نواكشوط عن وفاة قائد أركان الحرس السابق العقيد أحمد ولد سيدي ولد أحمد ولد عيده حيث كان يعاني من مشاكل صحية منذ فترة.
وشغل الفقيد خلال مشواره الوظيفي منصب قائد الحرس الوطني ابان حكم الرئيس الاسبق محمد خونه ولد هيداله كما تم تعيينه من قبل الرئيس ولد الطائع علي مؤسسة الهلال الاحمر الموريتاني التي ظل يديرها حتي بعد انقلاب ٢٠٠٥.
كما تولي الفقيد اضافة الي ذلك العديد من الوظائف والمهام العسكرية الرفيعة .
